Individuals should be allowed to take photos of themselves “selfies” if they wish. It is expression of one’s self and I myself took photos of myself as a teenager and I would do it again. It is madness to think otherwise.

A young person is born into this world and they are exploring it as we all are…in all aspects. These rules or laws are man-made and nothing more. They can be changed with the stroke of a pen by someone with the “power” (again just a man who is given the power by a group of other men and not some supreme being).

So NO they should not be prosecuted for self-expression regardless of what some stuffy conservative old fart thinks.

Thanks to a few parents that didn’t teach their children better, media for exploiting that matter and law makers that don’t want to accept the honest truth and madeup all these rules the whole damn thing has been blown way out of proportion!!!!!!!

I agree with most of this situation. They are technically guilty of producing and distributing child pornography. Having said that, the laws are ridiculous as with most CP laws. I sat in a courtroom last week and listened to a federal prosecutor recommend a sentence of over 150 months for looking at pictures. What purpose does it serve to prosecute and incarcerate an individual that is guilty of looking. Morally I do not agree with viewing CP, however I feel the prosecutors are going after the wrong people. They need find and prosecute the individuals who are actually abusing the children in the pictures. If production of such material was stopped there wouldn’t be anything to look at. We all know it is easier to prosecute the lookers than it is to actually search for and find the producers. Laws enforcement tends to take the easy way out.
